AJ LOVES SPONGE BOB!

My Story...
As with Bounce, I attended Lincoln Northeast High School and look at me now! Take it from me, you can be successful and make a lot of money with just a H.S. Diploma. But seriously, I started at KFRX when I was 16 and now 13 years later, it’s still the most important thing in my life. I love the music, the stories that go along with the artists and all the interaction with YOU calling in during my show!

My landlord stinks because she doesn’t allow a pet not even a cat, can you believe that? So I had to get creative on how I could have "a pet". Wow, I got more than I bargained for when I started feeding a couple of squirrels peanuts.  I now have about 15 squirrels that come see me every morning for a great breakfast of peanuts and grapes. During the winter I give them hot broccoli. Okay, enough of the squirrel talk, just slow down for them when they challenge you on the street, thanks.

I like karaoke, cooking, camping/boating and impersonating people! And squirrels!

My Hero...
If you don’t mind I’m going to add an "S" to the end of that! People that have inspired me to be the way I are include Tom Green, Weird Al Yankovich and Andy Kaufman…..I still can’t figure out why nobody ever wants to watch movies with me?

On My DVR...
The Essientials! Reno 911, COPS, America’s Most Wanted , Family Guy, American Dad and MSNBC Locked Up. Who doesn’t have SpongeBob on the DVR? I can do all of the character voices…..I guess I’m proud of that!??

A MOMENT WITH MARCUS "THE MIND"

Once upon a time there was a royal family, who lived in a beautiful castle far, away. The king didn't have much time for his son, because he was always busy with politics and his work as king. His mother was no different; she was always with the king on his business trips. The young boy had only himself and the world in front of him for entertainment. The young boy left for the woods to hunt, and upon his hunt he found an old cabin. The cabin looked to have been hundreds of years old, the boy couldn't help himself, but knock on the cabin door. To the boy's surprise, an old man opens the door. as the boy talked to the old man he realizes, that the old man was a wise old man told in many legends from his parents stories. The boy asked the old man to teach him something he could use in his everyday life. The wise old man said what do you wish to learn? The boy said, "Can you teach me how to fish?" The wise old man said "I cannot" "Why? The boy asked, are you not the wise old man who knows all.?" "I am the old man said, but still I cannot teach you". The next day the young boy came before the wise old man, and asked, "Can you teach me how to hunt?" "I cannot the wise old man said" "Why can’t you the boy asked, are you not a wise old man?" "I am the old man said, but still I cannot teach you". The next day the boy approached the cabin again, and this time the boy knocked, and knocked, but nobody answered the door. He turned the knob and found that the old man had died. The boy learned nothing from the wise legendary man.

Story meaning: A lot of times we go through life, without sharing useful information , that could possibly help others to develop and to grow. Whenever you learn a new skill or you don't think the skills that you have already, can't make a difference in someone else's life, just remember, everything you teach other's is well worth it.

MY 4TH OF JULY TRIP TO BRUNSON, MISSOURI.

Day 1 Thursday July 3rd:  We left Lincoln at about 3:30 pm for the 7 and a half hour car ride.  Thank God for the Garrmin GPS or we probobly would've shown up at like 1:00 am, but the lady knew where to take us and we arrived at Table Top Lake in Brunson Missouri at about 11:30 pm.  Being that we got in so late we missed all of the great views driving in twisting through the hills and valleys.  And of course everyone was ready for bed at 12:30.

Day 2 Friday July 4th:  My first thought when I woke up at 6:00 am was great, rain. I mean it was coming down in sheets with big thunder and all.  Luckily I stopped to buy some of the hottest toys at Wal-Mart for my nieces and I to play with.  One toy was A Disney Princess Magic Wand, I thought I'd give it a try I hit the button it made a noise, a red light came on I waved it by the window and said "Stop Raining"....it didn't work!  It did work however when I opened the camper door and said "Let there be 2 dogs", and by gosh there was!

Finally about 10:30 it started to clear up and we all knew it was going to be an awesome 4th of July, it was heating up fast.  And the first batch of squirrels were spotted rummaging through left overs through out the campsite.  We loaded up the Cobalt boat and were on the water.  The amazing thing about Table Top Lake is the views you get of everything around the lake the valleys of trees everywhere around, and those million dollar vacation homes in between the trees.

We drove the boat to the lake hot spot "The Cliff"!  Along with being surrounded by trees there is rock all around the lake, just like you see between the highways driving to Kansas City.  The cliff was about 20- 25 feet high and people were jumping right off into the water!  We also found out that the water level was up from last year so you would've been looking at an even bigger drop last year, but I was okay with 25, kind of.  Once I saw little 7 year old kids jumping I knew that I had to so I plugged my nose jumped and I think I hurt my handstring my right leg was hurting from the impact with the water, it was a tuff swim back to the boat, but well worth it.....until I got back on the boat looking for my sunglasses then my sister pulled up the picture she took when I jumped and they were on my face, but not anymore.  So thanks to my nieces Sierra and Erika I got to borrow thier designer sunglasses!

After lunch it was time for tube wars!  We hooked up two tubes to the back of the boat and going about 40 mph the last one left on a tube, was the winner!  My first challange was Ryan a 245 pound body builder, in my mind I knew I had no shot!  But as I jumped onto my tube the song "Eye Of The Tiger" was playing on the boat and that got me really pumped up!  It took about 5 minutes but I threw his tube out of the wake and he fell off!  1-0.  Next was Steve, just two minutes for him, wow I am rolling at 2-0!  The last and most challanging of the day was my brother-in-law Troy and he will do whatever it takes to win including pinching.  There were a series of pinches on the right arm, and a series of hard punches to the rib cage, but as he went to throw another punch, I gave him a stiff push to the chest and off the tube he went...3-0 on the day!

After catching my breathe it was my turn to go solo on the tube "The Frequent Flyer" and forgeting I humiliated my brother-in-law in tube wars (he also is the driver of the boat) I got on.  After about 6 minutes he couldn't phase me I was still hanging on, so he thought he would really pour it on and kicked the boat up to about 60 mph, he turned the boat and my tube went way outside of the wake and when I fell off I hit the water about three times before going under.  Imagine being a wide reciever in football and getting crushed by three different defensive players, each hit from the water was hard.  When I came back up from under water, I thought maybe I broke my neck or color bone.  The hits I took from the water were so hard I think I had a concauction, it took three people from the boat to help me back on and once I got back on I was laid out for about half an hour!

We got off the boat and back to the camper about 6:30, time to grill only one problem my sister is pregnant and was craving corn on the cob.  One thing you have to understand about my sister and bro-in-law is when they are camping and if they need something they'll use GPS and drive 30 minutes to a grocery store or a Dairy Queen.  That was the first trip to the grocery store on the camping trip.  At about 9:00 it was time for the Table Top Lake fireworks show.  The best I've ever seen and the way they echoed for about 10-15 seconds through the valleys was an added bonus.

Day 3 Saturday July 5th:  Woke up and it was raining again!  So of course I reached for my Disney Princess Magic Wand and said "Stop raining"...again it failed.  Before I left for the trip I've always wanted a power tooth brush.  I spotted them at The Hy-Vee but they were all out of X-Men so I had to settle for a My Little Pony power brush, I got some crap for it but it really works great, I use it every morning!  Well a couple of hours later we are still stuck on the camper but on TV is the painting guy and he inspired us to start drawing and coloring.  I brought my squirrel figurine on the trip and thought I would just go ahead and draw that.  So I propped him up on a Gatorade G2 bottle so I could get the best view, and just as I was finishing my picture, he fell off of the bottle and onto the kitchen floor breaking his tail off.  As fast as I could I got up from the table and went straight for the 1st Aid Kit and bandaged up his tale, he is doing great now!

The rain eventually stopped and we got back on the water only to find a cliff that was about 30-35 feet high, but after suffering the concauction the day before I thought it was best if I just stayed on the boat.  We were off the boat at 6:30 and it was time for dinner.  We still had corn on the cob, but we ran out of Reynold's Wrap to make the corn on the grill, oh yeah time for store trip number two!  Ryan and Steve made that trip and just minutes after they left my sister realized she was out of cheese for sandwiches for lunch the next day we tried to call both of them but they both left their phones on the camper.  So Troy, my brother-in-law had to make store trip number three, for cheese.  We ate and then headed into the business district of Brunson Missouri.  You have to see it to beilve it but they call it "The Strip" just like Las Vegas it has a ton of traffic and neon lights.  But it's all about the kids, it's like two miles of mini-Champion Fun Centers outdoors.  And for us adults we were loving the seven go-cart tracks!

Day 4 Sunday July 6th: Hey what do you know?  No rain this morning just sunny and hot!  I wasn't really looking forward to the boat today considering my forehead was so sunburnt it felt like a fruit roll-up that you could peel off.  We checked out some other areas of the monster lake and had another fun day.  At night we went back to the strip and had dinner at Fuddrugger's, it was great food!  We did some more go-carts and watched my nieces playing on the bungi-trampalene, then back to the camper.

Day 5 Monday July 7th:The worst day of any vacation, the trip home! Woke up at 8:30 and was on the road by 9:00 am.  7 and a half hours back to good ole Lincoln, Nebraska.

***CORRECTION*** Actually we went to Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, sorry for the mix up!

I want a Robo-Squirrel for Christmas!

AMHERST, Mass. - One gray squirrel, its bushy tail twitching, barked a warning as another scrounged for food nearby.

It was an ordinary spring day at Hampshire College, except that the rodent issuing the warning was powered by amps, not acorns.

Dubbed "Rocky'' after the cartoon character, the robo-squirrel is working its way into Hampshire's live-squirrel clique, controlled by researchers several yards away with a laptop computer and binoculars.

Sarah Partan, an assistant professor in animal behavior at Hampshire, hopes that by capturing a close-up view of squirrels in nature, Rocky will help her team decode squirrels' communication techniques, social cues and survival instincts.

Rocky is among many robotic critters worldwide helping researchers observe animals in their natural environments rather than in labs. The research could let scientists better understand how animals work in groups, court, intimidate rivals and warn allies of danger.

The most successful experiments are when the real squirrels respond by "flagging'' their own tail, halting their foraging to check for danger, scamper up a tree or take other actions that show they picked up on the signals, Partan said.

Why Mariah marrying Cannon is bad for us.

What's with all of these secret weddings going on?  Do these celebrities parents not want to help pay for security to battle the paparazzti?

As Far as everyone knows it went down on Friday May 2nd.  Ladies don't be jealous her ring was only 2.5 million dollars!  That's only 1.25 million for every month they have been hanging out.

This wedding is bad for us because everytime these musicians get married, they put their music on the back burner.  And Mariah is 38 and has to be thinking about a kid, will E=MC 2 be the last of Mimi for a while?

"HOW COULD YOU, ROGER?"

Okay ladies yes it is sports but it also much more than that. It's not only a "relationship" that began when he was 28 and she was 15. Country music (BOO!, except for Taylor Swift) Star Mindy McCready confirmed reports that her and Baseball Star Roger Clemems shared a 10 year fling.  Why would any man want to treat his wife that way?  Golf was his excuse to get away for these flings in various cities including Las Vegas.  Will her love of money and "the life" hang on to this SLIME BALL, or take HALF?  I know what I think.  The raw deal about this whole story is take a look at her Song Titles and Song Lyrics and you will see the tales of her and Roger.

The Spring Batch Of Baby Squirrels Are Here!

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a litter of new kids!  It's amazing watching them, watching the others on how to approach the man with peanuts!  They will come as close as a half foot to me to get their food!  I also have new neighbors that hung up a bird feeder that has been rampaged by the altheltic kind, and has since been moved to they're clothes line. Feed a Squirrel, And Slow for a Squirrel as those babies adjust to the Fascinating Life of "Being A Squirrel. Have A Great Summer!
