Cops Called Over ‘Help’ Sign In Window For Girl’s Homework

Cops in Florida are used to getting some crazy 911 calls, but one young girl’s frustration with her homework has taken the cake. Officers were called after a maintenance worker in North Naples noticed a sign in an apartment window that read “Help! Get me out of here!” When the deputies showed up to investigate, they fortunately discovered it wasn’t an emergency — just a 10-year-old girl who was frustrated by her math homework. Apparently, the girl made the sign and stuck it in her window after her mother sent her to a room to finish the tough assignment. A post on the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page recounted the story, adding: “While we were happy to know that no one was in danger, we totally relate to the frustration that comes with math homework. In fact one of our deputies gave the girl his personal cell phone and said she could call anytime with questions to avoid another 911 situation.”
