Instagram Likes Will Be Removed

Instagram floated the idea of removing like counts about 6 months ago; people responded positively with a small caveat:

The option to keep or remove public like counts is the USER’S decision.

Apparently the folks at IG didn’t get that note.

The photo-sharing giant announced they’ll begin removing public like counts for some users as early as next week. The move is supposed to ease the social pressures of ‘like counting’, especially for teens.

Oh, and you should know…Facebook is looking into doing the same thing.
