Kids (Aged 6, 8 & 12) Cause $50,000 In Damage To A School

A trio of Oklahoma children aged 6, 8 and 12 left a path of destruction inside a local school. Pictures provided by the Altus police department show the aftermath of what surveillance video captured: kids dumping paint on the floors, splashing walls and desks, damaging computers, and shooting off fire extinguishers from one room to the next — all after breaking through a glass door to first gain entry. The children caused an estimated $50,000 in damages to the Altus Intermediate School. “6 and 8.. Wow!! One just started walking for Gods sake,” Stephanie Smith commented. “Little hoodlums! They should be required to help scrub the floors with toothbrushes all summer!” Dana Milburn Moore wrote, echoing a sentiment many shared. Staff are already cleaning up the mess with help from community members. Police brought the 3 vandals into custody Sunday afternoon and have since released them to their parents.
