The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) is hosting twin Job Fairs on Saturday April 10th from 10:00 AM to 2:00PM. The Job Fair at Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC) and Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (DEC) located at 3220 West Van Dorn in Lincoln is an outdoor event with information on a career in corrections, testing and onsite interviews. The Job Fair at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) located at 2725 Hwy 50 outside Tecumseh will include limited tours, with mask and COVID-19 protocols, as well as testing and onsite interviews.
NDCS offers more than 150 job classifications and 2,300 career opportunities. People who choose NDCS come from a variety of school and career backgrounds from criminal justice, health and wellness, manufacturing, food service, banking, military, construction, and everything in-between.
“While security personnel, specifically corrections corporals, are priority, there are multiple opportunities in health care, food service, maintenance and administration. All equally as important to our mission,” said Ted Saunders, Agency Recruiter. “The opportunity for advancement is a true benefit at NDCS.”
Individuals who are looking for a career where they can make a difference, have a desire to serve and thrive in a team setting should consider corrections. Job seekers are encouraged to apply online prior to this event. Corrections Corporals and Unit Caseworkers start at $20 per hour and may qualify for a $10,000 hiring bonus.
