Teacher Faces Termination Over Time Off

Eileen Washburn, an English teacher in Ohio, is facing termination for taking two days off work. Eileen used her PTO to go to a concert in Nashville, and when the district heard about it, they started the process of terminating her for “falsified sick leave”. Should PTO be used for personal use, like a concert, or only for when you are actually sick?
