Winter The Dolphin Passes Away

Sweet Winter, the star of “Dolphin’s Tale”, passed away Thursday night, while being held by her caregivers.  Veterinarian Dr. Shelly Marquardt, in a statement released by the aquarium, said “while we are heartbroken by Winter’s death, we are comforted knowing that our team did everything possible to give her the best chance at survival.”  Winter was 16 years old. The aquarium will be closed Friday, giving the team time to grieve.
