You're not SINGLE, you're "self-partnered..." according to Emma Watson

She’s the cover star for British Vogue’s December issue, and one quote is making headlines from her interview… She has anxiety about turning 30 and NOT having her $h!t figured out… to cope she says she’s not single, she’s “self-partnered.”

Well THIS is a little too similar to people hating Gwyneth Paltrow’s “conscious uncoupling” phrase instead of saying divorce… and the Internet is having a field day with it.

But I have to wonder… is this tongue-in-cheek and she’s KIDDING… or this is so new and progressive that “self-partnered” will soon be a choice in our Facebook relationship status?!

Love Emma Watson and all the wisdom and grace she exhibits from her platform… but I’m sorry I had to roll my eyes at this one.

“If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you’re not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you’re still figuring things out… There’s just this incredible amount of anxiety. It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered.”
