Debt Collectors Can Contact You Via Social Media

According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a new law went into effect this week that allows debt collectors to find you on your favorite social media sites. Though the rules are strict on how they can contact you on your favorite app. There is no limit to how much a debt collector messages you on social media or text messages, but they are only allowed to call you up to seven times per week.
